Nexba Kambucha Soft Drinks

Hey guys!

I had the opportunity in lockdown to bring some new food and drink partnerships to Agitprop and one I was super interested in was Kombucha brand Nexba. I’m a slight diet coke addict… It’s my one annoying habit which I defo need to cut. But I have been struggling to find an alternative that I absolutely love. The best option for me so far has been the delicious kombucha alternatives, which are fizzy and full of great ingredients for your gut microbiome, and naturally low in sugar.

When I first found out about Kombucha I was so confused because they initially described them as tea, and they are sometimes flavoured or made with a sweet tea mixture. But the reality is you grow a live culture that looks like a jellyfish, and it eats away at the sugary mixture you’ve created and ferments the liquid into a fizzy drinkable potion. It’s sort of like a beer-making process, or if fruit juice kinda goes off. You know when you leave pineapple juice in the fridge and you’re like… this now smells vinegary? It does that, but through this culture-growth called a Scoby which literally looks like a creme brulee or a strange sea creature.

Now when you are buying different kombucha brands, oftentimes they are quite bitter with a fragrance, but Nexba is delicious and tastes more like super sparkly fruit drinks. The mango was amazing, it was really fresh and I enjoyed it. The mixed berry one was also delicious, it reminded me of the smell of freeze-dried berries, it has a slightly crystalline berry fragrance which I thought was great.
