Breaded Chicken Alternative

Hey guys!

I wanted to begin sharing with you some of my favourite meat alternatives, so these are my preferences that I’ve tested out and really enjoy. I wanted to share a breaded chicken alternative as you can use this in so many ways. It takes no time, it comes fully breaded and it is easy to cook. It takes about 20 minutes with a light spray of oil, you can add your seasonings and have in any capacity.

This one is all about Quorn Breaded Goujons, which are the fridge based chicken alternatives with some tofu alternative to halloumi. It’s an easy salad, it’s just got some mixed greens, orange, balsamic vinegar, Green Bee honey and some salt and pepper. Serve with some orange, roasted pine nuts, pomegranate seas and you’ve got a hit!

So I’ve done a halloumi alternative in here which was a tofu that was in corn flour, it’s really not flavoursome and I’m not going to go into that part of it, because I’m still trying to find a great alternative to halloumi and this one took so much work to get looking the part, and it had none of the flavour so we shall skip this.

The reason why I like these particular chicken substitutes is because they are thin, and they don’t taste dry. When I was looking into the Veganuary chicken alternatives like KFC which are more substantial steak size portions they are horribly dry. So the proportions are right, the flavour is right, it’s not chewy like I imagine chicken to be but has a authentic texture, it’s just ideal. So here’s my first recommendation for a breaded chicken fillet, and it’s one that is accessible in any chilled supermarket section.

Let me know some of your favourites as I add more.
