Brasserie of Light with the Bestie

Hey everyone!

So I was recently invited to attend the screening of the new Quentin Tarantino Film with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which was very entertaining. I wanted to grab some dinner before with my bestie and we were going to do some shopping before heading to the West End. So I said let’s meet in Selfridges and I could explore a little as they have a few dining experiences in-store. I have never been to the restaurants, I’ve been to the bars and the Yo Sushi but I’m still oblivious to most places, and I asked the staff and they pointed me to this cute little restaurant called the Brasserie of Light.

So this is in the actual store, so you go from the first floor and head to the right from the main entrance, and it’s just really cute. They have a massive pegasus above the bar and the whole decor is that iridescent gold color, so I was really blown away. I ordered a tomato juice which for some reason I’ve been craving like no other, and they brought some of these fat olives which were a perfect accompaniment.

So Abbey arrived and you’ve gotta admit we were feeling gorge, we were a perfect addition to the lovely view behind the table and we tried a couple of their inhouse recommended cocktails. I really loved the tomato juice ones the best I have to say haha.

We wanted to try something easy and it’s impossible to get vegan food everywhere, so I went with a rocket salad on a bed of avocado and tomatoes, it was absolutely banging and just what I needed. It came with Halloumi which I shared and then we got the craziest desserts ever. They were literally out of this world, I seriously was like wtf have we even ordered. Each one of the planets was a different thing and flavor, on mine, there was a nest of extremely sour lemon balls of goo? In the creme? It was just a bonkers treat and took the lovely meal to another level.

Vegan? Nope! But still, a gorge one to have if you’re working your way appropriately in that direction! 4.5 out of 5!

Would you try these crazy desserts? Comment below!
